I received the message below from a fake hobbiest.

Hi Nikki_for_fun, checked your site as i was looking for a companion and find you to be a really pretty and beautiful lady to spend some time with. I need an escort to spend time with me on my business trip in the states, and found you to be the right person to be a sweet companion. Email me and lets get to know each other and schedule an appointment. On your response, i will give you more information about me. Email me at stevekenuprise@yahoo.com, Hope you have a nice day

Steve

Ladies, this is total BS. I will be posting another email I got on here very similar to this one. The guys want you to take their check, deposit in your account, write them a check back for money they sent on top of your fees that were sent as payment for a contract job that "Steve" did. Check out his profile here. He states he is in the US. However, in his emails here and to me, he stated he lives in & is from the UK. He won't provide references, a way to verify him, etc. He tried to get my address, full name, phone number, etc. to mail me this "payment". It's all a scam. I will be glad to forward anything other info about this that you would like to see. The other emails from him are on my yahoo account, so please just send me a "normal" email addy so I may forward you the info. I can also cut & paste here.

It is warnings like this that should be done in private. What these guys will do if on the same board is go and create another handle etc... etc... and continue their games. Ones like this we want them to keep the same identity so we can just avoid them ourselves later.

But at the same time if their strategy and tactics will be exposed on the board it will be more difficult for them and the same guys to operate. I believe scammers should be exposed anyway.

Yup that is an obvious scam. It is sad that people fall for it. Luckily most won't but there is still the occasional one that will and why they keep doing it. :(

Here's another scam I just got today. Watch for it.

MR.PETER NDABA
KELLCROSS STREET
MIDRAND
JOHANNESBURG
SOUTH AFRICA
+27-724340319

Dear Friend,

Do accept my sincere apologies if my mail does not meet your personal Ethics.

I am Mr.Peter Ndaba a staff in the accounts management Section of a well-known Bank here in South Africa.

One of our accounts with holding balance of $25,000,000 (TWENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS) has been dormant
and last operated in the past 3 years. From investigations and confirmations, the owner of this account
is a Japanese Foreigner by name Engineer Meiji Iwatani died on the 4th of January 2001 in an
automobile accident. Since then nobody has done anything as regards to the claiming of this money
as he has no family member is aware of the existence of either the account or the fund. Information
from the National Immigration also states that late Engineer Meiji Iwatani was single on point of entry into South Africa.

I have confidentially discussed this issue with some of the bank officials and we have agreed to find a
reliable foreign partner to deal with. We thus propose to do business with you, standing in as the next of
kin of this fund from the deceased and fund released to you after due processes have been followed.

This transaction is totally free of risk and troubles as the fund is Legitimate and does not originate from drug or money laundry.

On your interest, let me hear from you and please do not forget to include your contact details..

Regards,
PETER NDABA
