I think that it depends on the client. It is their fantasy and there is nothing wrong with asking if he has any clothing requests.
I assume that the clients that seek me out like garters and stockings, since that is what I wear in the photos that lead them to me. Perfume is nice but I have to remember to go light with it because it could truly compromise a lot of gents. Sexy bra and panties a must, I used to pack up lingerie but I too have found that the bra and panty goes further. I add the stockings though, since if they have been interested in me from my site or from my ads, I more than likely had them on.
