Pimps in the neck of idependent escorts in Thailand

More and more I ask myself which role pimps play for (independent) Thai escorts.
No role at all?
Has the number of pimps increased or not during the last couple of months?
Are there more and more foreigners/farangs acting as pimps?

What are the indicators, if an escort has come under "pimp management"?
- Strongly increasing rates, because the pimp needs money;
- Posts made with help of ghostwriters;
- Different qualities of written English in postings
- ...
